Narrated ‘Awf bin Malik : the messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“
Indeed I knew the very last person of the people of Paradise will enter Paradise. He used to ask Allah to move him away from Hell, but he did not ask Him for Paradise. When the people of Paradise have entered Paradise, and the people of Hell have entered Hell, and he remained between them, he said: “O Lord, why am I still here?” Allah replied: “ Is this not what you were asking me for, O son of Adam?” He said: “Indeed, O Lord”. While he was in this state, a tree appeared to him from the gate of Paradise, inside Paradise. He said: “O Lord, bring me closer to this tree so I can eat from its fruit and seek shadow in its shade” Allah says : “O son of Adam, were you not just asking me[for something else]?” He said: “O Lord, Who is like You[in generosity]?”. He continued to see things, each better than the last, and continued to ask until it is said to him: “ Go, for yours is whatever your feet have traversed and whatever your eyes have seen” .So he travels until he is exhausted—and the Prophet (ﷺ) gestured with his hand [to illustrate] —and he said: “this and this”, and Allah said: 'This is for you, and the likes of it along with it”. He becomes satisfied that Allah gave him something He had not given to anyone else in Paradise. Then he says: “If I were permitted, I would bring inside to the people of Paradise food, drink and clothing from what Allah has given to me without nothing would be diminished from my possession”
