There will be people at the end of time who will gain a deep understanding of the religion and teach the people. Allah will join them with the Prophets, though they are not Prophets. There will remain between them and the Prophets only the degree of Prophethood.

Today you are in a time when its scholars are many and its speakers are few; whoever abandons one-tenth of what he knows has fallen. And there will come after that a time when its speakers are many and its scholars are few; whoever holds firmly to one-tenth of what he knows will be saved.

Beware of sins that are deemed insignificant, for the likeness of sins that are deemed insignificant is that of a people who stopped in the bottom of a valley. One came with a stick, and another came with a stick, until they baked their bread. Indeed, when sins that are deemed insignificant overtake a person, they destroy him.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed Duḥā (the forenoon prayer), then said: O Allah, forgive me and accept my repentance. Indeed, You are the Accepter of repentance, the Most Forgiving, until he had said it one hundred times.

I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about His saying: {For them are glad tidings in the worldly life}. He said: It is the righteous dream which the believer sees, or which is seen for him.

Indeed, Allah has angels who roam the roads, seeking out the people of remembrance. When they find a group remembering Allah, they call out to one another: Come to what you seek. He said: They then surround them with their wings up to the lowest heaven. He said: Then their Lord asks them, though He knows better than them: What are My servants saying? They say: They are glorifying You, declaring Your greatness, praising You, and extolling You. He says: Have they seen Me? He said: They say: No, by Allah, they have not seen You. He said: He says: How would it be if they had seen Me? He said: They say: If they had seen You, they would be even stronger in worshiping You, stronger in extolling You, and more abundant in glorifying You. He says: What are they asking of Me? He said: They say: They are asking You for Paradise. He says: Have they seen it? He said: They say: No, by Allah, O Lord, they have not seen it. He says: How would it be if they had seen it? He said: They say: If they had seen it, they would be even more eager for it, stronger in seeking it, and greater in their desire for it. He says: From what are they seeking refuge? He said: They say: From the Fire. He says: Have they seen it? He said: They say: No, by Allah, they have not seen it. He says: How would it be if they had seen it? He said: They say: If they had seen it, they would flee from it even more intensely and fear it even more greatly. He said: Then He says: I call you to witness that I have forgiven them. He said: One of the angels says: Among them is so-and-so, who is not one of them; he only came for a need. He said: They are the sitting companions; whoever sits with them will not be wretched.

There is no ʿadwā (contagion acting independently by itself), no hāmah (superstitious belief concerning owls), and no Ṣafar (superstition concerning the month of Ṣafar). The owner of sick animals should not bring them to the owner of healthy animals, and the owner of healthy animals may go wherever he wishes. They said: Why is that, O Messenger of Allah? He said: It is a harm.

I asked ʿĀʾishah about the grammatical irregularities in the Quran: {Indeed, those who believed and those who were Jews and the Sabians}, {and those who establish prayer and give zakah}, and {Indeed, these two are magicians}. She said: O son of my sister, this was the work of the scribes; they made mistakes in the writing.

A woman must not travel except with a mahram (an unmarriageable male guardian), and no man should enter upon her unless she has a mahram with her. A man said: O Messenger of Allah, I want to go out with such-and-such army, while my wife wants to perform Hajj (pilgrimage). He said: Go out with her.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out on Eid Al-Adha or Eid Al-Fitr to the musalla (the open prayer place), and he passed by the women and said: O women, give in charity, for I was shown that you are the majority of the people of the Fire. They said: Why is that, O Messenger of Allah?. He said: You frequently curse, and you are ungrateful to the ‘ashir (the husband), and I have not seen anyone deficient in reason and religion more able to take away the mind of a firm and resolute man than one of you. They said: What is the deficiency in our religion and our reason, O Messenger of Allah?. He said: Is not the testimony of a woman like half the testimony of a man?. They said: Yes. He said: That is from the deficiency of her reason. Is it not that when she menstruates, she neither prays nor fasts?. They said: Yes. He said: That is from the deficiency of her religion.
