The first thing that Allah created was the Pen. He said to it: 'Write.' It asked: 'What shall I write?' He replied: 'The Divine Decree (Al-Qadar).' So, from that day, it wrote everything that would happen until the Hour begins. He said: And His Throne was over the water. Then the water's vapor rose, and the heavens were split from it. Then He created the Nun , and the earth was spread upon its back. The Nun then became agitated, causing the earth to sway, so He stabilized it with the mountains; for indeed, the mountains boast over the earth.
