Takhrij Hadith 1220: "I saw Anas ibn Malik…"
On the authority of al-Azraq ibn Qays, who said:
“
I saw Anas ibn Malik invalidate his ablution. So he washed his face and his hands, wiped over his head, and wiped over a pair of woolen socks. I said: "Do you wipe over them?" He replied: "They are khuffs, but they are made of wool."”
