Takhrij Hadith 1338: "Whoever says: 'There is no…"
Narrated by Al-Agharr Abi Muslim, who said: I bear witness that Abu Sa‘id and Abu Hurayrah bore witness that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“
Whoever says: 'There is no deity worthy of worship but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest' (La ilaha illallahu wallahu akbar), his Lord confirms his word and says: 'There is no deity worthy of worship but I, and I am the Greatest.' And when he says: 'There is no deity worthy of worship but Allah alone' (La ilaha illallahu wahdahu), Allah says: 'There is no deity worthy of worship but I alone.' And when he says: 'There is no deity worthy of worship but Allah alone, without partner' (La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu), Allah says: 'There is no deity worthy of worship but I alone, without partner.' And when he says: 'There is no deity worthy of worship but Allah; to Him belongs all sovereignty and to Him belongs all praise' (La ilaha illallahu lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamd), Allah says: 'There is no deity worthy of worship but I; to Me belongs all sovereignty and to Me belongs all praise.' And when he says: 'There is no deity worthy of worship but Allah, and there is no power nor might except through Allah' (La ilaha illallahu wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah), Allah says: 'There is no deity worthy of worship but I, and there is no power nor might except through Me.'" And he [the Prophet ﷺ] used to say: "Whoever recites these words during their illness and then dies, the Fire shall never consume them."”
