He visited a sick man who was suffering from a fever, accompanied by Abu Hurairah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: “Receive glad tidings! For indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, says: “I set My fire upon My believing servant in this world, that it may be his portion of the Fire in the Hereafter”.[Meaning: That the heat of the fever may serve as a purification, such that he has already received his share of "fire" and will not be touched by it in the Hereafter.].
