Takhrij Hadith 1387: ""With what did the Messenger…"

"With what did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ open his night prayer?" She replied: "You have asked me about something that no one before you has asked me about. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest) ten times, Alhamdulillah (Praise be to Allah) ten times, Subhan-Allah (Glory be to Allah) ten times, La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah) ten times, and ask for forgiveness ten times. Then he would say: 'O Allah, forgive me, guide me, grant me provision, and grant me well-being; I seek refuge in Allah from the distress of the standing-place on the Day of Resurrection.'"
