We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ at al-Juhfah, when he came out to us and said: “Do you not bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship except Allah alone, without partner, that I am the Messenger of Allah, and that this Quran has come from Allah?” We replied: “Yes”. He said: “Indeed, this Quran [is a rope] one end of it is in the Hand of Allah and the other end is in your hands. Therefore, hold fast to it, for you shall never perish nor shall you ever go astray after it”.
