Takhrij Hadith 1544: "I am the city of…"
It is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said :
“
I am the city of generosity, and Abu Bakr is its gateway; I am the city of courage, and Umar is its gateway; I am the city of modesty, and Uthman is its gateway; and I am the city of knowledge, and Ali is its gateway.”
