Takhrij Hadith 1556: "When it is the Day…"

When it is the Day of Arafah, Allah descends to the heaven and boasts of them before the angels, saying: Look at My servants; they have come to Me disheveled, dusty, exposed to the sun, from every distant pass. I call you to witness that I have forgiven them. The angels say to Him: O Lord, among them is so-and-so who is showing off, and so-and-so, and so-and-so. He said: Allah says: I have forgiven them. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no day on which more people are freed from the Fire than the Day of Arafah.
