Takhrij Hadith 157: "We performed the Sunset (Maghrib)…"

We performed the Sunset (Maghrib) prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Some departed while others stayed behind. Then, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in haste, out of breath, with his garment lifted above his knees. He said: “Rejoice! Your Lord has opened one of the gates of heaven and is boasting of you to the angels, saying: “Look at My servants; they have fulfilled an obligatory prayer and are waiting for another”.
