I sat with a group of the poor Muhajirun (Emigrants); some of them were even using others for cover because of their lack of clothing, while a reciter was reciting [Quran] for us. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came and stood before us. When he did so, the reciter stopped, and the Prophet ﷺ greeted us and asked: “What were you doing?” We replied: “O Messenger of Allah, we had a reciter reading to us, and we were listening to the Book of Allah, the Exalted” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Praise be to Allah, who has placed among my Ummah those with whom I have been commanded to be patient”. He then sat in the very middle of us to center himself equally among us. He gestured with his hand like this, indicating that they should form a circle , so they formed a circle and their faces became visible to him. I noticed that he did not recognize any of them except me. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: “Rejoice, O poor Emigrants, for a perfect light on the Day of Resurrection; you will enter Paradise before the wealthy people by half a day, and that [half-day] is equal to five hundred years.
