Takhrij Hadith 1602: "The most excellent fast after…"
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said :
“
The most excellent fast after Ramadan is God's month. al-Muharram, and the most excellent prayer after what is prescribed is prayer during the night.”
