It was narrated from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said :

“

I had forbidden you from visiting graves. Now, visit them, for it softens the heart, brings tears to the eye, reminds of the Hereafter, and do not say obscene words.

”
