Hadith 1637: "I hope from Allah, the Mighty and Majestic,..."

It was narrated from Abu Qatādah that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the fasting of ʿĀshūrāʾ:

“

I hope from Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, that it will expiate the previous year». And he said regarding the fasting of the Day of ʿArafah: «I hope from Allah that it will expiate the year before it and the year after it.

”
