Takhrij Hadith 1656: "No group of people gathers,…"
طبقته على الحديث مع المحافظة على التنسيق والرموز: It was narrated from Habib ibn Maslamah Al-Fihri - and he was one whose supplication was answered - that he was appointed commander over an army, so he led them through the mountain passes (the difficult routes leading to the enemy’s land). When he came to the enemy, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say :
“
No group of people gathers, with some of them supplicating and others saying Amin (amen), except that Allah answers them». Then he praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: O Allah, spare our blood and make our rewards like the rewards of the martyrs. While they were in that state, Al-Hanbat (the commander of the enemy, meaning the commander of the Roman army) came down and entered upon Habib in his pavilion (tent).”
