Takhrij Hadith 1664: "Indeed, Allah has angels who…"
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“
Indeed, Allah has angels who roam the roads, seeking out the people of remembrance. When they find a group remembering Allah, they call out to one another: Come to what you seek. He said: They then surround them with their wings up to the lowest heaven. He said: Then their Lord asks them, though He knows better than them: What are My servants saying? They say: They are glorifying You, declaring Your greatness, praising You, and extolling You. He says: Have they seen Me? He said: They say: No, by Allah, they have not seen You. He said: He says: How would it be if they had seen Me? He said: They say: If they had seen You, they would be even stronger in worshiping You, stronger in extolling You, and more abundant in glorifying You. He says: What are they asking of Me? He said: They say: They are asking You for Paradise. He says: Have they seen it? He said: They say: No, by Allah, O Lord, they have not seen it. He says: How would it be if they had seen it? He said: They say: If they had seen it, they would be even more eager for it, stronger in seeking it, and greater in their desire for it. He says: From what are they seeking refuge? He said: They say: From the Fire. He says: Have they seen it? He said: They say: No, by Allah, they have not seen it. He says: How would it be if they had seen it? He said: They say: If they had seen it, they would flee from it even more intensely and fear it even more greatly. He said: Then He says: I call you to witness that I have forgiven them. He said: One of the angels says: Among them is so-and-so, who is not one of them; he only came for a need. He said: They are the sitting companions; whoever sits with them will not be wretched.”
