Takhrij Hadith 1724: "The sun was eclipsed during…"
It was narrated from Al-Mughirah ibn Shu‘bah that he said:
“
The sun was eclipsed during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day Ibrahim died. The people said: The sun has been eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, the sun and the moon are not eclipsed because of the death or life of anyone. So when you see that, pray and supplicate to Allah.”
