Takhrij Hadith 1741: "I said: O Messenger of…"
It was narrated from Badr ibn Abdullah al-Muzani that he said:
“
I said: O Messenger of Allah, I am a man whose livelihood is restricted, and my wealth does not prosper. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: O Badr ibn Abdullah, say when you enter the morning: In the name of Allah over myself, in the name of Allah over my family and my wealth. O Allah, make me content with what You have decreed for me, and grant me well-being in what You have left for me, so that I do not wish to hasten what You have delayed, nor to delay what You have hastened. I used to say these words, and Allah caused my wealth to prosper, paid off my debt for me, and granted sufficiency to me and my dependents.”
