Takhrij Hadith 1803: "When I came to Najran,…"
On the authority of al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:
“
When I came to Najran, they (the Christians of Najran) questioned me, saying: "You recite: {O sister of Aaron}, yet Moses lived so many years before Jesus." So when I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I asked him about that, and he said: "They used to name people after their prophets and the righteous people who came before them."”
