Takhrij Hadith 1834: "Whoever intervenes through his intercession…"
On the authority of 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:
“
Whoever intervenes through his intercession to prevent one of the punishments prescribed by Allah from being carried out has opposed Allah. Whoever argues in support of falsehood while knowing that it is false will remain under the displeasure of Allah until he abandons it. And whoever says about a believer something that is not true of him, Allah will make him dwell in the corrupt fluid flowing from the inhabitants of Hell until he frees himself from what he has said.”
