Takhrij Hadith 1892: "“O my father, I hear…"
Narrated by ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakrah, that he said to his father:
“
“O my father, I hear you supplicating every morning: ‘O Allah, grant me well-being in my body. O Allah, grant me well-being in my hearing. O Allah, grant me well-being in my sight. There is no deity worthy of worship except You.’ You repeat this three times in the morning and three times in the evening, and you say: ‘O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disbelief and poverty. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no deity worthy of worship except You.’ You repeat this three times in the morning and three times in the evening?” He replied: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicating with these words, and I love to follow his Sunnah.””
