Takhrij Hadith 1931: "The call to prayer for…"

The call to prayer for Friday was first given when the imam sat on the pulpit, during the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Abu Bakr, and ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both). Then, when ‘Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) became caliph and the number of people increased, he added a third call to prayer at al-Zawra.”
