Takhrij Hadith 1944: "When the Messenger of Allah…"

When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated against locusts, he would say: “O Allah, destroy the locusts: kill the large ones, destroy the small ones, ruin their eggs, cut off their offspring, and keep them from our livelihoods and provisions. Indeed, You are the One who hears supplications.” A man said: “O Messenger of Allah, how can you supplicate against an army among Allah’s armies, asking that its offspring be cut off?” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: “They are something scattered forth by a fish in the sea.”
