On the authority of Muʿadh ibn Anas al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:

“

Such is the utmost in rudeness, disbelief, and hypocrisy: that a person hears Allah’s caller calling to prayer and inviting him to success, yet does not respond to him.

”
