Takhrij Hadith 1975: "Indeed, Allah the Most High…"

Indeed, Allah the Most High is Good and accepts only that which is good. And indeed, Allah has commanded the believers with what He commanded the Messengers. He, the Most High, said: {O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I am All-Knowing of what you do.} And He, the Most High, said: {O you who believe, eat from the good things We have provided for you.} Then he mentioned a man who undertakes a long journey, disheveled and covered in dust, raising his hands towards the sky and saying: “O my Lord, O my Lord” while his food is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful, and he has been nourished with what is unlawful. So how can his supplication be answered?”
