Takhrij Hadith 1984: "The Prophet (peace and blessings…"
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated:
“
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was once speaking while a Bedouin man was with him. He said: “A man from the people of Paradise asked his Lord for permission to cultivate the land. He said to him: ‘Do you not already have whatever you wish?’ He replied: ‘Yes, but I love to cultivate.’ So he sowed the seeds, and in the blink of an eye, the crops grew, ripened, and were harvested, becoming like mountains. Allah then said: ‘Here you are, O son of Adam! For nothing will ever satisfy you.’ The Bedouin said: ‘By Allah, you will find such a man only among the Quraysh or the Ansar, for they are people who cultivate the land. As for us, we are not people of cultivation.’” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) laughed.”
