Takhrij Hadith 2067: "The Messenger of Allah (peace…"

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to us when his daughter passed away and said: “Wash her three times, or five times, or more than that if you see it necessary, using water and lotus leaves, and put camphor, or some camphor, in the final washing. When you have finished, inform me.” When we had finished, we informed him, and he gave us his waist wrapper and said: “Shroud her with it as the innermost garment.” By this, she meant his izar (waist wrapper).
