Takhrij Hadith 2127: "A boy’s memorization is like…"
Narrated by Ibn ‘Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“
A boy’s memorization is like an engraving in stone, and a man’s memorization after he grows old is like writing on water.”
