Takhrij Hadith 2128: "Musa (peace be upon him)…"

On the authority of Abu Saʿid al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:

“
Musa (peace be upon him) said: “My Lord, teach me something by which I may remember You and supplicate to You.” Allah said: “O Musa, say: Lā ilāha illā Allāh (there is no god worthy of worship except Allah.).” Musa said: “My Lord, all Your servants say this.” Allah said: “Say: Lā ilāha illā Allāh.” Musa said: “There is no god worthy of worship except You. I only want something that You single me out with.” Allah said: “O Musa, if the seven heavens and their inhabitants other than Me, and the seven earths, were placed on one side of a scale, and lā ilāha illā Allāh on the other side, lā ilāha illā Allāh would outweigh them.”
