Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“
While I was sleeping, I saw people being presented before me wearing shirts. Some of the shirts reached their breasts, while others reached less than that. Then ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab was presented before me wearing a shirt that he was dragging behind him”. They asked: “How did you interpret that, O Messenger of Allah?” He replied: “Religion”.”
