Hadith 276
Language:

Takhrij Hadith 276: "When ‘Uthman (may Allah be…"

Bilal ibn Yahya narrated:

“
When ‘Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) was assassinated, people came to Hudhayfah and said: 'O Abu ‘Abdillah! This man has been killed, and the people have fallen into division, so what do you say?' Hudhayfah said: 'Prop me up.' So they propped him up against a man's chest, and he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Abu al-Yaqdhan is upon the Fitrah [the pure natural disposition upon Islam]; Abu al-Yaqdhan is upon the Fitrah. He will not abandon it until he dies or is overcome by extreme old age’.
