Takhrij Hadith 277: "I saw the Messenger of…"
As’ad ibn Zurarah narrated:
“
I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressing the people. He turned around and did not see Abu Bakr, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Abu Bakr, Abu Bakr! Indeed, the Holy Spirit, Jibril, peace be upon him, has just informed me: "Verily, the best of your nation after you is Abu Bakr al-Siddiq.”
