On the authority of Abu al-‘Aliyah, or another narrator:
“
I was told that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Last night, two men came to me, took me by my sides, and set off with me until they brought me to a man holding an iron hook in his hand. He was inserting it into the side of another man's mouth and tearing his cheek until it reached his jaw. Then he would return and do the same again. I asked: “Who is this?” They replied: “These are the people who spread malicious gossip among others”.”
