Takhrij Hadith 410: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ…"

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led us in prayer. During the prayer, he removed his sandals, so the row directly behind him removed their sandals as well. Then the rows behind them also removed their sandals. When the Prophet ﷺ finished the prayer, he said: “Why did you remove your sandals?” They replied: “You removed yours, O Messenger of Allah, so the row behind you removed theirs, and we therefore removed ours”. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Jibril (Gabriel), peace be upon him, came to me and informed me that there was some impurity on my sandals, so I removed them. Therefore, pray while wearing your sandals”.
