On the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas:
“
A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah, if a man fights in the cause of Allah, seeking reward, until he is killed, will he be in Paradise?" He replied: "Yes". When the man turned to leave, the Prophet ﷺ called him back and said: "Jibril (Gabriel), peace be upon him, came to me and said: provided he has no debt".”
