‌ I enjoin upon you five commands which Allah Almighty has commanded me: maintaining the Community, listening and obedience, emigration, and fighting in the cause of Allah. Whoever departs from the Community by even a handspan has cast off the tie of Islam from his neck-or faith from his head-, unless he returns. And whoever summons [others] to the pre-Islamic beliefs he is among the assemblies of Hell. It was said: “O Messenger of Allah, even if he fasts and prays?” He replied: “Even if he fasts and prays. So call one another by the names of Allah—those by which He named you: Muslims, Believers, and Servants of Allah.
