Takhrij Hadith 465: "Jibril came to me and…"

Jibril came to me and said: O Muhammad, I have brought you words that I have never brought to anyone before you. Say: O He who reveals what is beautiful and conceals what is ugly; O He who does not take to task for an offense, nor tears away the veil of concealment; O Great in forgiveness; O Excellent in forbearance; O Vast in pardon; O He who outstretches His hands with mercy; O Companion of every private counsel; O Ultimate End of every complaint; O Magnificent in bounty; O Most Generous in forgiveness; O Initiator of blessings before they are deserved; O my Lord! O my Master! O my Hope! O Ultimate Object of my desire! I ask You to forgive my sins, and not to disfigure my body with the Fire.
