Takhrij Hadith 469: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ…"

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ heard a sound that terrified him. Then Jibril (peace be upon him) came to him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “What is this sound, O Jibril?” He replied: “This is a rock that was cast from the edge of Hell seventy years ago, and it has only now reached its bottom. Allah wished that you should hear its sound”. Thereafter, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was never seen laughing with his mouth wide open until Allah took his soul.”
