Takhrij Hadith 532: "Allah, Most High, will say:…"
Abu Saʿid al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“
Allah, Most High, will say: "O Adam!' He will reply: 'Here I am at Your service and at Your command, and all good is in Your Hands.' Allah will say: 'Bring forth the people destined for the Fire.' Adam will ask: 'Who are the people destined for the Fire?' He will say: 'Out of every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine.' At that moment, every child will turn gray-haired, {and every pregnant woman will deliver her burden ˹prematurely˺. And you will see people ˹as if they were˺ drunk, though they will not be drunk; but the torment of Allah is ˹terribly˺ severe. } (Qur'an 22:2). They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, which of us will be that one?' He said: 'Rejoice! For among you there will be one, while among Gog and Magog there will be a thousand.' Then he said: 'By Him in Whose Hand is my soul, I hope that you will constitute one-fourth of the people of Paradise.' We proclaimed "Allahu Akbar." He then said: 'I hope that you will constitute one-third of the people of Paradise.' We proclaimed "Allahu Akbar." He then said: 'I hope that you will constitute one-half of the people of Paradise.' We proclaimed "Allahu Akbar." Then he said: 'You are among mankind like a black hair on the hide of a white bull, or like a white hair on the hide of a black bull'.”
