Takhrij Hadith 534: "The Prophet ﷺ said one…"

The Prophet ﷺ said one day: "Do you know where this sun goes?" They replied: "Allah and His Messenger know best". He said: "It travels until it reaches its resting place beneath the Throne. Then it falls in prostration and remains there until it is told: “Rise and return from where you came”. So it returns and rises from its place of rising. Then it travels until it reaches its resting place beneath the Throne, and it falls in prostration. It remains there until it is told: “Rise and return from where you came”. So it returns and rises from its place of rising. Then it continues on its course, and people notice nothing unusual about it, until it reaches that same resting place beneath the Throne. Then it will be told: “Rise and come forth from your place of setting”. So it will rise from the west. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then asked: "Do you know when that will be?" He continued: "That will be when {no soul will benefit from its faith as long as it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good.}"
