Takhrij Hadith 554: "“Do you know what the…"

“Do you know what the Day of Jumuʿah (Friday) is?” I replied: “It is the day on which Allah brought your forefather together.” He said: “But I know what the Day of Jumuʿah is: no man purifies himself and does so well, then comes to the Friday prayer and listens attentively until the imam finishes his prayer, except that it becomes an expiation for him for the period between it and the following Friday, so long as he avoids the grave sins.”
