Takhrij Hadith 563: "The Prophet ﷺ passed by…"
On the authority of Mu‘adh ibn Jabal, who said:
“
The Prophet ﷺ passed by a man who was saying: “O Allah, I ask You for patience”. He said: “You have asked for a trial, so ask Allah for well-being”. He then passed by a man who was saying: “O Possessor of Majesty and Honor (Yā Dhā al-Jalāli wa al-Ikrām)”. He said: “You have been answered, so ask”. And he passed by a man who was saying: “O Allah, I ask You for complete blessing”. He said: “O son of Adam, do you know what complete blessing is?” The man replied: “It is a supplication by which I seek good”. He said: “Indeed, complete blessing is salvation from the Fire and admission into Paradise”.”
