Takhrij Hadith 576: "Asma’ the daughter of Abi…"

Asma’ the daughter of Abi Bakr entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while wearing thin clothes. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned his face away from her and said: “O Asma’, indeed, when a woman reaches the age of menstruation, it is not proper for any part of her to be seen except this and this”—and he pointed to his face and his hands.
