Takhrij Hadith 612: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ…"

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: “Do you know who will be the first group from my Ummah to enter Paradise?” I replied: “Allah and His Messenger know best”. He said: “They are the Muhajirun (the emigrants). On the Day of Resurrection, they will come to the gate of Paradise and ask for it to be opened. The keepers will say to them: “Have you already been brought to account?” They will reply: “For what should we be brought to account? Our swords remained upon our shoulders in the cause of Allah until we died in that state”. Then the gate will be opened for them, and they will rest there for forty years before the rest of the people enter it”.
