Takhrij Hadith 669: "The Messenger of Allah (peace…"

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a tree whose leaves had withered. He struck it with his staff, and its leaves fell off. Then he said: Indeed, saying: “Al-hamdu lillah (all praise is due to Allah), subhan Allah (glory be to Allah), la ilaha illa Allah (there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah), and Allahu akbar (Allah is the greatest) causes a servant's sins to fall away just as the leaves of this tree fall away”.
