On the authority of Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“
The Fire complained to its Lord, saying: “My Lord, parts of me have consumed other parts”. So He permitted it two breaths: one breath in the winter and one breath in the summer. Thus, the most intense heat that you experience is from its heat, and the most severe cold that you experience is from its freezing cold.”
