Takhrij Hadith 789: "I came to the Messenger…"

I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while two disputants were presenting their case before him. He said to me: "Judge between them". I replied: "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you! You are more worthy of that". He said: "Judge between them". I asked: "On what basis?" He replied: "Exercise your independent judgment. If you are correct, you will have ten good deeds; and if you are not correct, you will have one good deed".
