Takhrij Hadith 799: "Place a barrier of lawful…"
Al-Nu'man ibn Bashir narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:
“
Place a barrier of lawful things between yourselves and the unlawful. Whoever does so safeguards his honor and his religion. But whoever grazes near it is like a shepherd grazing beside a protected pasture, and is likely to stray into it. Indeed, every king has a protected preserve, and indeed, Allah's preserve on earth is His prohibitions.”
