She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, give us the ruling regarding Bayt al-Maqdis [Jerusalem].' He replied: 'Go to it and pray in it'—and the land was in a state of war at that time—'and if you are not able to go to it and to pray in it, then send some oil to be lit in its lamps.
